Come Home to Kenbridge for Memorial Day Weekend!

The Kenbridge Wild Game, Stew & BBQ Cook-Out, sponsored by the Town of Kenbridge and the Lunenburg Charity Fund, (501(c)(3), will be the main event for a Memorial Day weekend charity fundraiser to be conducted at the Kenbridge Town Park.  Admission is free and the public is welcomed to attend.   The focus of the day’s activities is to remember those who served and who are still serving in our armed forces while presenting an event for the whole family to raise funds for those in need in Lunenburg County.
People attending this event will have an opportunity to eat and/or purchase great country barbequed meats for which Southside Virginia is famous.   A Memorial Day parade through Kenbridge and leading to the Town Park begins at 10:00 AM.   At 1:00 PM, a Memorial Day remembrance service will be held at the Community Center auditorium, honoring all those who have served our country in the Armed Forces.   Family entertainment will be ongoing throughout the afternoon, all at no charge.
Net proceeds from the sale of food and beverages will go to Lunenburg County charities such as:

Lunenburg County Ministries
Lunenburg Health Service
The TPCC Food Pantry
Salvation Army, Victoria and Kenbridge
